We have revamped our Membership Program for the 2025 / 2026 season and are excited to announce the launch of our very own Women Who Ski interactive community inside the Mighty Networks app.
Mighty Networks is a platform that hosts online communities away from the privacy and spam / bot issues of social media and messaging platforms.
Why Membership?
• Chat Groups to Find a Ski or Snowboard Buddy: Have authentic and transparent interactions with other Women Who Ski members through our exclusive Chat Groups specific to 24 different regions in the U.S., Canada, and worldwide including the southern hemisphere (list of groups in next block below). Our app has a feature that suggests members who share the same ability, vibe, and pace as you.
• A Space You Can Count on: If you’re part of group of ladies who ski locally, encourage each of them to join our membership and enter the chat group for your area, this way you always know where to find each other online and communicate plans. One predictable and easy to use virtual space. Never miss a text or post and never miss a get-together.
• Access to Official Women Who Ski trips: In the four years we’ve been running trips, they have become the events to attend, selling out in weeks. Here, lifelong friendships are made. We plan to hold more ski trips and announce them earlier so more members can attend. Membership gives you first dibs on the limited spots we offer.
• Reliable Meet Ups: Our event scheduler allows you to arrange date, time, and place, and has a handy RSVP feature. Your Meet Up event will be shared throughout our community. You can also peruse other scheduled Meet Ups and activities happening near you and join the fun.
• Never Ski Alone: Through our real time chat feature, you always have access to text other ladies in a regional chat group to take advantage of a powder day.

When you join our App, you will need to set up your profile with picture and info. Here are the guidelines.
Everyone must use a HEADSHOT PHOTO only without sunglasses or goggles, and no other people, pets, or props. We want to SEE YOUR FACE EASILY on our phones. We promote full transparency so we can see who we are meeting.

1. Access to Exclusive Mountain Chat Groups
New for the 2025 / 2026 season, we are launching our existing chat groups inside our very own Women Who Ski community in the Might Networks app and they are now live!
Membership gives you access to our exclusive new private community in an app—one spot where you can join 24 different chat groups and connect one-on-one with other Women Who Ski members in your area, or a destination you plan to ski. You can even schedule meet ups using our handy scheduler making coordination so easy.
Trying to make arrangements to meet someone on Facebook can be challenging due to posts getting old fast and missing them in your feed. Here are the benefits of joining a chat group in our private online community over connecting through Facebook.
• Real time communication:
Like sending a text when notifications are enabled so no delay in connecting.
• More transparency:
Profiles are required to use real first and last name, and a headshot photo without sunglasses or goggles.
• Member vetting:
Each member is checked that they are a paying member and that their profile meets requirements before entering our private space.
• Transparency promotes authenticity
We can’t “police” people’s profile photos and name requirements on Facebook. Chat groups allow us to do that to increase the level of comfort for a more meaningful and safe meet-up.
• Promotes ski meet-ups
Getting a text in a chat group may motivate you to get to the slopes more often if you know one or two ladies want to meet up that day.

5. We are the FIRST and LARGEST!
We can say we were the very first women’s ski community on Facebook because we were. Our founder, Genevieve Schmitt, far left, held her first Women Who Ski meet-up in 2015 at Big Sky Resort after creating Women Who Ski as a Facebook group that year. Since then we’ve grown to nearly 18,000 women across the globe. Our paid membership community invites ladies in our Facebook group to connect in a more authentic and transparent way. We’re proud to be called #1 - the FIRST and LARGEST!
